Dear colleagues,

As you have heard, the implementation of the export ban is not in the Commission’s work programme and there is therefore a high risk that it will not be implemented during this Commission and that everything will be postponed to after the European elections. This is really bad news. But we hope we can still revert this decision.

We are asking you to take action at national level to ask your government to intervene with the commission so that the export ban is implemented in 2023, as promised. See below a template that you can use. Please coordinate with other groups working on the issue in your country.

Also, please sign and make sign the Joint Statement by other organizations by filling in this Google Form. (You have received the attached message that you can forward within your networks). Deadline for signing is 4 November 2022.  Meanwhile, please do not make this joint statement public.
